Brescia room

Going up the sixteenth century staircase you get to the Brescia room of the library. The Brescia room is so called because here there were originally kept the texts connected to the history of Brescia and Lake Garda. This room contains an important sculpture: the preparatory bronze model for the monument dedicated to the heretic Arnaldo da Brescia which stands in the square with the same name in Brescia. It is a work sculpted by Odoardo Tabacchi at the end of the nineteenth century. Finally on the table there is a small bronze portrait of Giuseppe Zanardelli by the sculptor Ettore Ximenes.
